Once installed, a few smart settings make everything smoother — the right guide, tidy favourites, the best decoder for your device, and family-safe controls.
Setup vs installation — what's the difference?
Installation gets the app on your device and your channels loaded. Setup is the fine-tuning that turns a working service into a great one: organising channels, getting the guide right, choosing the best playback settings for your device, and locking down content for the family. It takes a few minutes and pays off every time you watch.
Many UAE customers skip setup and then complain that IPTV feels clunky — scrolling through 20,000 channels without favourites, wrong program times, or 4K stuttering on Wi-Fi. Five minutes of configuration fixes all of that. Do it once after your free trial or first subscription day.
1. Get the program guide (EPG) right
The EPG shows what's on now and next. If it looks empty or the times are off, it usually just needs a refresh and the correct time zone.
- Force a manual EPG refresh in the player's settings on first setup.
- Set the time offset to GMT+4 (Gulf Standard Time) so program times match the UAE.
- On low-powered devices, reduce the number of EPG days to speed up loading.
- Wait for the initial EPG download to finish before judging the guide — it can take 60–90 seconds on first launch.
If the guide still shows wrong times after setting GMT+4, check whether your device itself is set to the correct time zone in system settings. A TV set to UK or India time will offset the guide even if the player is correct.
2. Organise your channels into favourites
With 20,000+ channels, favourites are essential. Create a few groups so the whole family finds what they want instantly.
- Create groups like Sports, Arabic, Movies, Kids and News
- Add each person's go-to channels to a shared 'Favourites' list
- Hide categories you never watch to reduce clutter
- Set your most-watched group as the default view
- Include backup sport feeds in your Sports group for big matches
Example for a typical Dubai household: a Sports group with beIN and cricket feeds, an Arabic group with MBC and OSN, a Hindi group with Star and Zee, and a Kids group for weekend mornings. That covers 90% of viewing without touching the full channel list.
3. Choose the best playback settings
Default settings work for most people, but a few tweaks improve stability and picture quality on UAE home networks.

4. Set up parental controls
If children use the TV, ask us to apply the free family-safe profile that removes adult categories entirely. You can also enable your player's PIN-protected parental lock for extra peace of mind.

5. Multi-device setup in UAE households
